Greenpeace is an independent international organization which aims to preserve nature and peace on the planet. To do this, we change people's attitudes to the natural resourses of the Earth.
Greenpeace started in 1971 as a group of like-minded individuals who commited themselves to set an example and contribute to solving environmental problems by protests. Today our organization is a powerful international force that relies on the support of more than 2.5 million people, including 10 thousand activists in Russia. Because of our strength we are able to exert pressure on governments and companies while maintaining our independence. National Greenpeace organizations are present in more than 40 countries worldwide. They unite people of different skin colors and languages living on different continents, who all share a common passion, which became our profession, and all have the same mission.
