D-Fuse is a group of designers from varied disciplines, who work across a range of creative media, from Web, Print, TV, Film, Art, + Archietecture, to Live Performances + Mobile Media. Founded by Michael Faulkner in the mid-1990s D-Fuse has continuously expanded the universe of possibilities of digital art and discourse through their desire to experiment + develop a unique language for the needs of the digital world. Their work commonly encourages the viewer to reflect on the process of experiencing art in a multi-dimensional, multi-sensory way + especially the key relationship between sound + image. D-Fuse collaborate with a wide variety of musicians, from ground-breaking artists Scanner and Beck, to contemporary classical composers Steve Reich and the Italian ensemble Alter Ego [who work with Salvatore Sciarrino and Philip Glass]. D-Fuse’s visual art is screened internationally - at Sonar [Barcelona], onedotzero festivals, Nokia Labs in St Petersburg and Moscow, Mori Arts Center [Tokyo], Eyebeam [NYC], San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Prix Ars Electronica [Linz], and the Lisbon and Valencia biennales.
